Spicebush Swallowtails - Papilio troilus - male pursuing female through the tall grass. I observed this pair over a span of two minutes and forty seconds as the male followed the female around the garden until they were out of sight. This is a much clearer photo than a similar one posted 24 July, but the strong sunlight here makes the colors less intense. A photo of a mated pair of this species was posted here 5 September.
