At first sight, this rig coming up the main street of Lenhartsville late on a Saturday afternoon, seemed to be a typical Amish buggy, but as it pulled up to park at the Country Cupboard I noticed all the chrome on the harness - very worldly, not plain. The buggy is authentically Amish, but the harness and their owner are not. Amish driving buggies or wagons are seen occasionally in Lenhartsville as it is on the way from the nearest colony near Kutztown to Blue Rocks which, probably because it is a natural rather than man-made feature, is something of a tourist mecca for local Amish.
