Twelve-Spotted Skimmer - Libellula pulchella - male. This is the first time I have tried to assign a species to one of my photographs of dragonflies and damselfies. I printed copies of photos of nearly a dozen of them and tried to match them up with photos and descriptions at enature.com. This photo from last season in Albany Township was the only one that was close enough for me to go out on a limb and publish an identification.
