Kempton Fairgrounds - just a small part of the crowd gathered for the annual farm equipment auction. It is a sort of standing joke in these parts that it always rains on the day of the Kempton sale, just as we say it always snows during the annual farm show in Harrisburg; the weather was quite clement for this year's sale, although preceding rains had left parts of the parking areas in a condition where four-wheel drive was needed to get through the mud. We spent nearly the entire day at the sale, bid on a few things and bought nothing.
